15th “Luis Aldehuela” Outdoor Quick Painting Competition
Description
On 10 May, Andújar will once again become a huge open-air art studio with the 15th “Luis Aldehuela” Outdoor Quick Painting Competition, an event already firmly established on the cultural calendar of Andújar. From early morning, the town's streets, squares and natural corners will fill with easels, canvases and attentive gazes trying to capture the essence of a city that breathes history, light and landscape.The competition pays tribute to the legacy of Luis Aldehuela, a favourite son of the city and a key figure in local painting and stage design. His creative spirit remains present in every edition, encouraging participants to see Andújar with fresh eyes and discover nuances that only emerge when art is experienced live, right out on the street.
With 15 prizes and a total prize fund of 15,000 euros, the competition reaffirms the Town Hall's commitment to a culture that fosters togetherness, identity and opportunity.
