Villa Matilde is a Andalusian rural house located in the province of Jaén, 18 km from the city of Andújar. We offer accommodation per room and activities to people who love nature and tranquility. Its owners Mercedes Coco Pérez, Spanish, and Roland Wassenaar, Dutch, welcome you to Villa Matilde.
The estate, an old vineyard with an estate, has three hectares of partially wooded land and is located on the doors of the beautiful Sierra de Andújar Natural Park. The house was built in 1926 and part of the original interior has been preserved. This makes it a quiet place with a cozy atmosphere to spend your holidays or do activities. Villa Matilde also has several terraces and a pool.
We have developed an Environmental Education Programme for schools. The programme is for primary and secondary school students. The schools make visits of one day or more. The students walk through interesting areas of the Sierra de Andújar and participate in educational workshops and games. Each school group has the possibility to choose between different programmes of activities.
Villa Matilde also offers courses such as vegetarian food, yoga, massage, family constellations, medicinal plants, natural cosmetics, ecological garden and beekeeping.
We also organize environmental volunteer projects in the Sierra de Andújar Natural Park.
