Descripción
Descripción larga
The town will make the most of its natural conditions — clear skies, altitude and a rural setting ideal for observation — to roll out an agenda combining science outreach, nature, gastronomy and heritage. The new Los Llanos Astronomical Park is one of the main observation venues. The programme is structured around three strands: experiences at local businesses, cultural and leisure activities, and astrophotography training. Astronomical tastings will be held at four olive oil mills in the town's villages, with guided visits, tastings and night-time observation. Each session will be limited to 25 people and cost 20 euros. The Teatro Martínez Montañés will host family workshops and activities linked to the planetarium recently acquired by the Tourism department. In July, activities will focus on preparing for the eclipse, while in September, workshops on building sundials will be held. Sessions will cost 5 euros per family, with a maximum of ten families per activity. The programme also includes a highlight for astrophotography enthusiasts: a talk and hands-on workshop led by photographer Jordi Coy on 12 September, limited to 15 participants. The high point will come on 12 August with the observation of the total solar eclipse from the Los Llanos Astronomical Park, where certified glasses will be provided and an educational explanation of the phenomenon will be offered. The proximity of the Perseid meteor shower will allow the experience to be rounded off with the observation of this astronomical event.

Descripción
Descripción larga
The castle, declared a Site of Cultural Interest, offers an ideal setting for stargazing thanks to its elevated location and the low light pollution in the surrounding area. During the session, participants will be able to identify constellations, learn about the mythology associated with each one, observe the planets visible at this time of year, and understand how the night sky served as an essential point of reference for the cultures that once inhabited these lands. The activity is aimed at the general public and families, and combines science outreach with the promotion of historical heritage. The aim is to make astronomy accessible in a relaxed way, closely linked to the local area, strengthening the province of Jaén's offering of cultural and nature-based leisure.
