The Fortress of the Mota, is a monumental ensemble that was border fort of the Nazari kingdom and later the barracks of Christian troops during the reconquest. The archaeological set of the alcazaba welcomes the traces of the primitive neighborhoods, the castle and Abacial church, spaces turned into a fascinating Centre for the Interpretation of Life at the Border.

The Alcaudete Castle, one of the best preserved in Spain, welcomes within it the center of interpretation of the Military Order of Calatrava, an institution that in the mid-13th century made this place the most important bastion of the border and spear point of the Christian advance on the Arab lands of Granada, the Tower of Tribute is one of the most solid and high constructions of Spanish medieval architecture.

On foot or by bike tour Green Oil Wayfrom the Alcaudete Station to the border of the province of Córdoba, crossing the road through a metal gateway, which leads to two natural areas (Laguna Honda and Laguna del Chinche), or heading in the opposite direction, towards Martos, to travel the impressive viaduct on the river Víboras.
