Seeds of nature at El Cantalar Ecotourism Centre and Nature Classroom

Descripción
Descripción larga
The day begins with a walk along the trails near El Cantalar, where the participants observe the local flora in search of fallen seeds and native aromatic plants. After identifying the acorn seeds, he returns to El Cantalar to learn the Japanese technique of "Nendo Dango," created by Fukoka. This technique allows to avoid soil tillage and promotes the natural regeneration of the earth. To make the seed balls, clay and worm fumes are used, which are mixed until a molding paste is obtained. Then small balls of the size of a meatball are formed to cover the acorn seeds and are left to dry in the sun. This technique is used to reforer damaged spaces, and there are two ways to plant these balls: throw them in areas that need reforestation or carry them as a souvenir to plant in a pot. If this last option is chosen, it is enough to semi-bury half the ball on the earth and water it until the clay is undone and the seeds germinate.

Discover how water shapes the landscape and its inhabitants' lives with Guías de Cazorla

Descripción
Descripción larga
A unique experience where knowing how the force of water has shaped the landscape and history of this region for millions of years. Following the route of the Guadalquivir River, visitors are immersed in a natural environment of limestone rocks that, like a sugar terron, have been dissolved by water to form cannons, caves and travertines, which offer a spectacular landscape. The Cascade of Linarejos, with its imposing fall, and the trails that allow aerial views of the canyon, stand out as jewels of this route. In the past, this environment played a crucial role in the local economy. The travertine limestones and extensive pine trees were used for construction and wood industry, developed in places like Vadillo-Castril, where a hydroelectric dam supported production. Although these activities ceased, the river continues to be a source of wealth through sustainable tourism and barranquism, which attracts visitors to enjoy its fast and waterfalls. This route invites not only to explore natural beauty, but also to reflect on the relationship between water and human development, promoting respect for the environment and its resources.
