Description
The Fiestas del Medievo of Sabiote are one of the most spectacular historical events in Andalusia, featuring horse races, a medieval market, re-enactments, music and activities around the Castle of the Knights of Calatrava. This year they will be held on 1, 2 and 3 May.For three days, the historic centre and the imposing Castle of the Knights of Calatrava transform into a living stage, where knights, artisans, musicians and minstrels bring the town's medieval splendour back to life. The streets fill with colours, scents and sounds, inviting visitors to lose themselves among craft stalls, taverns, shows and street parades. The horse races, unique in the province, set the pace for a festival combining tradition, emotion and spectacle in an unrivalled monumental setting.
