El Condado is located in the north of the province of Jaén, between the feet of Sierra Morena and the depression of Guadalquivir and is formed by a varied mosaic of landscapes: olive land, mountain land and wild Mediterranean forests.

The region was border territory and crossing roads: dinosaur tracks, rock, Iberian art, Roman bridges, castles and towers, settlement villages, museums, interpretation centers, archaeological sites, churches, urban centres of Arab origin with sinuous and steep streets, modernist houses... are just some of the many suggestions to visit and know this area, noble for its origin and for the hospitality of its inhabitants, which offer initerating landscapes and precious products, origin of its rich gastronomy.

Among the local delicacies, we can highlight the crumbs with torreznos, the asparagus in salsa, the mountain beans of Castellar, the gachas or partridges in the scabeche of Arquillos, and the cod. The most characteristic sweets are the biscuit, the braided, the pestins, the floricles, the baking and the Protestants.
