The Jaén green roads invite you to travel the landscape at your pace, without traffic, between forests, old railway tracks and unique environments. They are perfect scenarios for practicing from cycling, to a quiet hiking and family walks, through routes they combine sport, landscape and connection with the history of the territory.
The Green Way of Oil is about 128 kilometres away from the old railway route that Jaén joined with Córdoba. It is the best known route of the province and its smooth and wide layout makes it ideal for long distance and cross-country long distance, through centuries-old olive groves, quiet villages and agricultural landscapes. Its well-maintained surface allows both beginners and families to enjoy the experience on one of Europe's largest natural roads.
The Via Verde de Segura has more than 27 kilometres of natural road from the Guadalimar River to the surroundings of the province of Albacete.
In the heart of the Natural Park Sierras de Cazorla, Segura and the Villas, it allows the visitor to enter the natural environment in the middle of an olive landscape on the railway line that was to join the station of Linares- Baeza with that of Utiel in Valencia and whose construction was not completed. Its new use is committed to ecotourism and adventure sport in a unique paradise.
The Via Verde del Guadalimar crosses Linares, Ibros, Lupion, Torreblasphcopedro and Begíjar, from the beginning of the river valley of the same name. Up to seven tunnels located along a path suitable for travellers, hiking and cyclists.
The Via Verde de Linares runs six kilometres from the old station of Linares- San José, better known in the municipality as the "station of Almería," to the station Linares- Baeza, corresponding to the old railway route between Linares and Almería. Throughout its extension, It has four rest areas and uel Mirador del Valle, which immerses the traveller in an essential panorama of the Guadalimar valley and the villages of the region.
