C/ Pósito, 3, Mengíbar
The Cultural and Tourist Information Point "La Torre" has been consolidated as a key space for all those interested in the heritage wealth of the municipality.
The tour guide team of the Information Point offers free guided tours throughout the year through the most well-known corners of Mengibar.
The Information Point houses two interesting exhibition spaces. On the one hand, there is the Oleiculture and Labranza Exhibition, formed by an extensive collection of models made by a neighbor of the municipality, Eulogio Calleja Grajera. With them, it records the different processes of olive oil production from the Old Egypt to the 20th century. It also has a large collection of traditional agricultural tools and tools from the Andalusian and Extremian fields. On the other hand, there is the so-called "Mengibar Action." This exhibition features a collection of lead soldadites donated by José Manuel Allendesalazar, which narrates the action produced in Mengíbar on July 16, 1808, just before the famous Battle of Bailén. In it, troops in command of General Reding defeated the almighty French army commanded by General Gobert.
