Environment and activities

Location: Villanueva de la reina is located in the fertile valley of Guadalquivir, the old roma barn. It belongs to the judicial party of Andújar, province of Jaén, which has the largest area of protected natural spaces, not only in Andalusia, but throughout Spain.
The magnificent landscape, with millions of olive trees, has been created by man. A rare example, precisely in warm countries, of the use of nature without destroying it. This way one of the routes of "the Andalusian legacy," specifically the "route of the Nazaris."

At most an hour's drive, you will find as important cultural centers as Córdoba, Granada, Jaén, Ubeda and Baeza. The area is part of the territory of the Iberians, and it is possible to see in the provincial museum of Jaén magnificent testimonies of their culture. It was also the scene of the second Punic War (between Rome and Carthage) as well as, in more recent times, the war of independence against Napoleon.

Activities: in the surroundings of Cazalilla (in the north, east and south) the mountains of brown saw, Cazorla saw and snow saw are raised, ideal for the practice of activities such as hiking, mountaineering and skiing.
