Between 4 and 8 August, the patron saint festivities are held in honour of the Virgen de las Nieves, featuring numerous activities catering to all groups. Among them, the Flamenco Festival stands out, drawing notable figures from the national scene. There are also novice bullfights and full bullfights, held at the bullring opened in 1919, which has a large following.

These feature an extensive programme of activities, including religious events, the opening address, open-air dances, concerts, championships and the traditional “bull runs with young bulls”. One of the championships is for bolos serranos, a local game from the Sierra de Segura that had almost been lost, with Orcera pioneering its revival by organising the “First Regional Championship” in 1969.

The pilgrimage takes place around the hermitage of the patron saint, located about 5 kilometres from Navas de San Juan. Declared of national tourist interest, the events begin as early as 30 April, with a floral offering to the Virgin's standard and a solemn Mass.

1 May begins with a wake-up call, as local authorities set off from the town hall to the sanctuary of La Virgen de La Estrella. Everyone follows the standard in a procession, with floats and pilgrims on horseback, dressed in Andalusian costume. A solemn Mass is held at the sanctuary. Various performances take place that day in the sanctuary's auditorium.

On 2 May, the authorities once again set off from the town hall towards the sanctuary; after the religious events and celebration, the co-patron saint of Navas de San Juan is carried from the sanctuary to the monument commemorating her apparition to the farmer Juan, in the 12th century.

On 3 May, following Mass at the sanctuary, La Virgen de La Estrella is returned to the parish church. The image is welcomed with rose petals, in the most moving moment of the pilgrimage in honour of La Virgen de La Estrella in Navas de San Juan. In the evening, there is a big celebration and fireworks.

These festivities have been held since 1808 in honour of San Juan Bautista, Patron Saint of the Jaén town of Navas de San Juan.

On the afternoon of 24 June, the Patron Saint is carried through the town's streets to the bullring, to the sound of pasodobles, to make a lap of the ring as a blessing and endorsement of the popular events prepared in his honour, a tradition that defines these festivities.

Among the recreational events, the "bull runs" stand out, a custom held since time immemorial, in which fighting bulls are run through the town's streets.

Both at the fairground, with its open-air dance, fairground attractions and mobile bars, and at the town's other bars and restaurants, the joy and festive spirit characteristic of the people of Navas overflows during these final days of June, marking the start of summer.

A three-day festival originally created so that those living away from the town, unable to attend the San Juan festivities, could still enjoy them. In this way, the celebrations are recreated on a smaller, more concentrated scale, as an extension of the June festivities. Concerts, cultural events and the main attraction — the bull runs — are all part of the programme.

Held on the third weekend of May, in the recreational area of the "El Dañador" reservoir. People camp over the weekend of the celebration. There is an open-air dance on Friday and Saturday nights. 

Montizón celebrates its patron saint festival with open-air dances in the town square. 

Patron saint festival of Aldeahermosa, celebrating its fair and festivities with open-air dances and the release of young bulls and heifers. 

In May, the Pilgrimage of Santa María Magdalena, patron saint of Mengíbar, is held on the second Sunday of the month. The image of the town's patron saint is carried from the Parish Church of San Pedro Apóstol to her hermitage, located on Cerro Maquiz, accompanied by pilgrims on foot, on floats and on horseback. 

The Mengíbar Fair officially begins with the opening gala, traditionally held in the evening in the Plaza de la Constitución. It features musical performances, the presentation of the Iliturgi Awards, the fair's opening address, and a fireworks-and-music show.

A week packed with all kinds of activities, concerts by major artists and a lively atmosphere at the fair stalls, drawing large numbers of visitors from nearby towns.
