Surrounded by olive trees, our farmhouse has 6 double rooms, 2 bar? os, wide know-how dining room, equipped kitchen and an extensive outdoor space that includes a large porch, which allows to accommodate up to 12 people to enjoy magnificent views and a wonderful sunset.

You can taste our wide variety of Mediterranean and traditional dishes, the most characteristic: the leg of the dairy lamb to the wood oven, the chuleites of the milk lamb to the brase, the chulet of ox, the codillo of Iberian pig or our typical pate of perdiz among others. We also have a variety of traditional dishes such as cooking, andrajos, potages...

Finca El Cotillo has facilities that are the result of the rehabilitation of buildings of the mid-18th century which formed the house of management, offices and plan room of the chief engineers that exploited the mines of lead, silver and perlite of Linares, La Carolina and El Centenillo.

This is how the rural house "Cortijo las Huertas" is born, a house that forms part of the original cortijo.

Our visitors will be able to be part of these millennial experiences, an experience that will allow them to know the roots of the world of olive oil.

In our location Sierra Magina, it has one of the largest protected nature reserve areas in Spain. This natural park has almost 20,000 hectares, composed of an isolated massif in which are the highest peaks of the province of Jaén. This territory is a valuable refuge of Mediterranean flora that includes very rare species in the south of the Iberian peninsula. In addition, 27 different species of mammals such as the montane goat, boar, montés cat, badger or jineta can also be found.

On the other hand, you can find numerous caves with rock paintings such as "La cave de la graja" (Jimena) or "La cave del morron" (Torres), as well as castles of great interest such as that of Albanchez de Magina and phenomena of great appeal The faces of Belgium, which have their own center of interpretation...

The estate has an extension of 20,000 square meters and is divided into two parts by a road.

It is completely fenced and the inside of the fence unfolds a row of cypresses that guarantee, even more so, the privacy of the tenants. It's practically flat.

The estate has two entrances, one main, access on the North side (automatic door, with built-in pedestrian door, automatic doorman and surveillance facility) that opens way to a road to the house; and another on the West side, for agricultural machinery entrance.

Inside are a great diversity of fruit trees, and of indigenous vegetation of the area, highlighting a large number of centenary oaks that give the environment a spectacular view. It has a microclimate within this geographical area that makes certain plant species difficult to conserve in this area.

The Cortijo Cabeza Alta is located in the municipality of Castillo de Locubín.
Very close to the slopes of the Achillos saw. It has a strategic situation with regard to towns and cities, with their respective services.
