Refugio del Segura Apartments
The rural accommodation Refugio del Segura is located at one end of the village, accessing from the A-317 road by a bridge over the Segura. In the past there was a batan and loom of cloth, taking advantage of the water jump; in the second half of the 19th and first decades of the 20th century it was an industry of importance, from where the then famous blankets of Pontones came out, taking advantage of the abundance of wool. It was also a flour mill and a light factory.
The azud and much of its chaz that brought the water to the mill are still preserved.
We have two studios, five one bedroom accommodation and two two two bedrooms. The water is very present and from each accommodation there are balconies that stand out to the river, and below a terrace to relax by hearing the water run.
In Refugio del Segura we offer you 9 accommodation; in its construction we have wanted to combine respect for the environment, comfort and enjoyment of the river that passes just ahead. All of them have biomass heating, as well as wood stove or fireplace; we have also primed good insulation both on the outside and inside, which give warmth and privacy.
