While other castles can focus mainly on their medieval history, Cosmolarium offers a completely different experience for two reasons:

1. It offers an experience focused on astronomy and the universe
2. It values the incredible sky of the Sierra de Segura, Cazorla and the Villas, non-light pollution.

In short, its universe museum, planetary sessions, guided tours and night sky observation activities make it unique in the region.

The museum offers us a tour of different aspects of traditional life, such as the stays of the serrana house, the rural school, the barbershop, the old inn, the stable and the trades related to the forest. There is also a small shop for crafts and food.

The small and isolated valley of Los Anchos, surrounded by mountains, is of an overwhelming beauty, especially in the autumn, when the wings of the stream become yellow.

The village of Los Anchos is one of the best preserved in the Natural Park. Very close to it there are two others around which you have to take a walk, which are those of Prado Maguillo and La Cañada del Saucar. From this last part a senderist route marked PR-A 196, which goes up to the Calar del Cobo, specifically to the Puntal of the Mass, one of the best viewpoints of the Natural Park. In Prado Maguillo there are also signposted trails.

In it you can travel the most representative ecosystems of Andalusia understanding why we are taking certain species to the limit of their disappearance. You will know some local recovery projects such as the one of the broken bones, the alimoche or the lizard of Valverde. The centre is in turn the headquarters of the Gipaetus Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the awareness and protection of Andalusian biodiversity, in particular of broken bones (Gipaetus barbatus).

In this Thematic Center you will find a permanent interactive exhibition on threatened Andalusian fauna. It also has an interesting library based on the areas of ecology, biology and heritage conservation.

The building - in which the carnage of the city was formerly located - is located next to the balcony down the river Cerezuelo, and open to the well-known square of Santa María. It is a splendid place to start a visit to this square and to the old town of Cazorla.

• Visit in the same square of Santa María the Thematic Center "Frondosa Nature," where the biological and environmental wealth of the entire Park is explained

It also includes documentation and pieces such as the first entrances and posters, capotes, bullfighter suits and bull heads such as the "Vantanero" of the Saltillo livestock, dealt with by the sword Rafael Molina Lagartijo on the day of its inauguration or the bull Escobedo of the Livestock of Don Sancho Dávila, treated on the day of the centenary of the Baezan coso by the sword José Ortega Cano. The visit begins in the area of the vault; reception area and visitors that hosts the exhibition area linked to the history of the square. The itinerary includes the tour of the toriles, corrals, cavalries, chapel and nursing.

As if a portion of the natural park had been removed, in this center, the visitor can taste his morphology or walk through a recreated Mediterranean forest where to identify plant species and their aromas or discover its inhabitants in a fun way. Many emblematic species threatened find refuge in these saws; this is the case of the Iberian wolf, whose cubit is faithfully reproduced.

Among all the emblematic species of the park, the Iberian lince stands out. Its traces will lead the user to discover its habitat and behavior, as well as the problem that makes it the most threatened felline on the planet.

In this centre you can also know the way of life of its inhabitants, their historical development and how a harmonious exploitation of resources allows the conservation of valuable environments such as the Andújar saws.

Through a space equipped with an ambimentation of the interior of a river it is immersed in the water in the company of its rich ictiofauna, like the European eel. They all form an immense network that is also present on the tour of the visitor center.

As a colophone, the importance of properly exploiting the two main natural resources of these saws is shown: water and forests. To leave with a good taste of mouth, nothing better than to taste some of the home specialities in your cafe with garden views, accompanied by the singing of birds in a privileged environment.

This idea is based from the beginning of the exhibition tour on a topographic model of the Borosa River basin and a graphic recreation of the entire river network of the park.

On the outside, at 1,100 meters high, we can relax in the recreational area El Peralejo, which is named after the impressive nearby ravine. And from its vicinity, there are several signposted paths, such as: El Peralejo, Gibralbca and ascend to Pico Magina and Miramundos..We will be able to discover the great diversity of landscapes surrounding this natural park.
