The Ultra Trail Bosques del Sur is much more than a race. It's that place where your heart beats faster, where every trail challenges you and every peak rewards you. It's the time of year when Cazorla becomes a sanctuary for those who love running, feeling, and pushing themselves further.
The confirmed dates for the 2026 edition are:
From early morning, artists from various parts of the country — and from abroad too — will set up their easels in the town's streets, squares and iconic spots. Castellar, with its traditional architecture, its urban layout and its identity deeply tied to the landscape, transforms during this day into a living space where creation happens in full view of everyone. Residents and visitors can wander through the town while watching how each canvas captures a different light, an unexpected perspective, or a detail that, in the artist's hands, becomes pure emotion.
These days invite visitors to discover the architecture, legends and memory surrounding this fortress, linked to the House of Cobos.
For four days, the town once again becomes a meeting point for thousands of visitors drawn by the uniqueness of a festival combining religious tradition, popular culture, and a strong sense of local identity.
The programme includes the release of dozens of fighting bulls that run through the streets guided by ropemen, keeping alive a tradition passed down from generation to generation. The roped-bull tradition, characteristic of Beas, has become one of the festival's most recognisable elements and one of the town's main tourist attractions.
Alongside the bullfighting events, the Brotherhood of San Marcos has organised religious ceremonies, street parades, children's activities and popular open-air dances. On 25 April, the main day, a procession is held in honour of the saint, accompanied by the “Santa Cecilia” music band and numerous residents dressed in the traditional "marcuera" scarves and ribbons.
The Fiestas de San Marcos once again place Beas de Segura at the centre of the province's festive calendar, reaffirming the cultural and social importance of a celebration that forms an essential part of the town's intangible heritage.
The festival, held across various venues in the town, will bring together initiatives and projects focused on ecology, traditional ways of life and social innovation in rural areas. In addition to the film activities, Biosegura will offer workshops, gatherings and participatory events for all audiences.
The Sweet Cotton Festival stands out for being free of charge, for its commitment to national and international blues and rock artists, and for an atmosphere combining culture, heritage and music in a unique setting. It is a festival that grows with each edition, while keeping its essence intact: offering good music in an extraordinary setting.
Here, amid historic streets and the pastureland surrounding the town, you'll discover a different kind of festival — approachable and full of character. An unmissable event for anyone looking to enjoy music in an authentic setting, with the distinctive charm of the Sierra Morena in Jaén.
During these days, the town is offering a special programme combining historical outreach, cultural activities and community gatherings. Talks, re-enactments, heritage trails and participatory activities will help explain the significance of that charter and its impact on daily life at the time, as well as on the later development of Baños de la Encina.
The 4th Centenary invites residents and visitors to look back on the past with pride and to celebrate a legacy that remains alive in its streets, in its centuries-old castle, and in the hospitable character of its people. A commemoration that honours history while looking forward to the future of one of the province's most distinctive towns.
