The Aula de NATURALEZA EL HORNICO has an educational programme that arises as a practical complement to environmental education provided in the teaching centres. It has two facilities in an ideal environment to develop teaching activities in nature.

At the reception, during breakfast, we will go over the tour. In the first phase we will visit our ecological farm in which we produce all the oil we sell, showing the different parts of it, explaining how we work and maintain our olive grove and what special characteristics it has regarding a conventional olive grove. During the second phase we will know the almazara, explaining in detail the route that the olive makes from the time it reaches the factory until the oil is extracted, seeing the machinery through which it passes and the different transformations that our raw material suffers.

The tradition is linked to innovation in the Melgarejo family, oil processors in Pegalajar since 1780. Since 1998, Melgarejo has a new mill, with an extension of 5,000 square meters, which has, in addition to the most modern technologies that are being handled today in the sector, a packaging plant that ensures excellent conservation and bottling conditions, thus offering the market a product of the highest quality. The fruit of this passion to improve the quality of the oils produced was born "Aromas de Picual," a division that focuses on producing high-end products in extra virgin oils.

La Cooperativa Agrícola San Amador was located in the heart of the urban centre of Martos, which for decades has been the largest municipality cultivated by olive trees in the world. San Amador was established in 1960 as a new initiative for the small and medium olive tree in the region.

Located in the middle of a sea of olive trees, 8 kilometres from Martos, El Madroño is before the year 1890 and reflects the Andalusian rural life of past times. The families living in the cortijo had everything they needed: carpentry, hardware, bakery, school, in addition to stables for horses, mules, pigs, sheep, hens, etc.

Located in Martos (Jaén), the municipality that produces the most olive oil in the World, will find among a sea of olive trees this 19th century cortijo in the heart of the Nazarí route, near Jaén and halfway between Córdoba and Granada. It has an outstanding oil factory and together with its museum you will be able to know the evolution of the production processes of liquid gold through history as well as enjoy a unique landscape, taste the miller breakfast, make a tasting of various types of oil, delight with equestrian or flamenco shows while enjoying a delicious meal or dinner. These attributes, among others, offer the visitor many possibilities to make Oleoturism a unique experience that will not leave him indifferent.

Acordinated by a gilded tapial belt, it is a complex of courtyards, noble house and agricultural dependencies with a garden mixed with Arabian courtyard and Carmen granadino, which hosts an octagonal fountain, originating from the Granadina house of Empress Eugenia de Montijo. Shortly after the complete restoration of its old facilities, the work on the recovery of the hermitage began in 2008. The design of the Chapel, as well as the drawings of the altarpiece and ceramic altar, are by Armando Pareja Tello, of Baroque ornamental style, with a symbol of César Ripa. The Cortijo El Madroño has now become one of the most popular national spaces for the celebration of events, banquets, flamenco shows and has been the stage, for its excellent architecture, of numerous television programs and advertising.

Almazara Cruz de Esteban S.L. is located in Mancha Real, in the cradle of the olive tree: the province of Jaén. It is a company of family tradition, with a long trajectory since 1930 that the avala, which directly manages the agricultural work of the olive tree and the extraction of the oil from its fruit, trying to make a good selection of the olive in its different states of ripening, with rigour and care in the molding.

The OlivoReal brand develops extra virgin olive oils from early to mature harvest. These AOVE's are obtained from a rigorous selection of olive trees, giving special care in the collection process and obtaining an oil of a higher quality that preserves all the fruit and aromatic properties.

With the passage of time the almazara has been growing, becoming a reference in and around the municipality for its proximity to harvesters and customers. It currently offers modern facilities adapted to the manufacture, storage, packaging and sale of a high quality oil.

We are an Andaluza company, which has decided to put into practice some of the ideas that have been happening to us and we have launched ourselves with the energy and illusion to develop this project.
