Visita guiada Oleícola San Francisco
Tourist almazara. Practical kitchen workshops with extra virgin olive oil. Guided tours and experiences in the olive grove. Tats and tastings.
Next to the monumental city of Baeza, Oleícola San Francisco has become the first tourist mill in the province of Jaén, with registration at the Tourism Board of the Junta de Andalucía. In 1989, Manolo Rus and José Jiménez decided to embark on this fascinating olive oil world, acquiring a small factory in Begijar. With a lot of illusion and a few means, they raised together what is today a real reality, a family company, traditional and at the same time at the forefront in means of production. The beginnings were difficult and the means they had were those of the time: hydraulic presses, capachos, decanting stoves, great atroops and, above all, the illusion each year of getting the best of the possible oils. It has facilities fully adapted to guided tours, bus parking area, services adapted to disabled, access ramps, attached areas, projection room with seats for 25 people, large tasting room for courses and tastings, etc.
